Volume thirteen in the ever-growing Polena catalogue is solely devoted to the spacey boogie sound of Boryn. A beatmaker, cratedigger and DJ based in Wroclaw, Poland, he released some sample-based house jams for Astropical Tapes - both solo and as a part of Astro Buhloone duo. He also laid a few beats for Polish underground hiphop releases. "Jewels EP" fuses both his house and hiphop background into coherent, unique sound.

Boryn casts his magic spell over eight tracks, sounding not too far away from such contemporaries as Dam Funk, Moon B or Sasac. In its essence, "Jewels EP" is a pure modern funk. It is the music to cruise the streets of your favourite holiday resort town or chill on the porch at night. Catchy sample-based vocal tracks (like "Telephone", co-produced by DYYU∩E) are neighbours with summer beach vibe ("New Home Studio" and "Pretty Drunk Bassplayer"). The title track, with its high BPM, strong groove and cosmic atmosphere is also one of the stand-outs on the EP. It's hard to underestimate the wordclass production level. This beautifully crafted sound allures the listener to take yet another cruise with "Jewels EP" on repeat.
